Together we all get on

As a mutual organisation we recognise the importance of supporting the community. Through ‘Skipton Building Communities’, we support numerous types of good causes throughout the country, not only through financial support and sponsorship, but through staff volunteering and fundraising. It’s all about giving something back to the communities in which our members live and work.

On average we support over 400 community projects, either through direct financial contributions of around £300,000 a year, through in-kind support or through the giving of the time of our staff to volunteer or fundraise. And, from education and arts projects to sports centres, we also provide long term sponsorship support to a number of community partners.

We’ll actively encourage you to take part in voluntary activities, even within working hours. There are plenty of choices for how you can help others - whether it’s bathing in a tub of mushy peas in aid of Comic Relief or collecting donations for international emergencies.

So it’s not just your interests we have at heart. We’re a progressive employer, but just as innovative when it comes to finding ways of helping those in our communities.
